09/05/2012 - Line Up Alterations
We are very sad to announce that Zoey Van Goey will no longer be playing Long Division. This is due to personal circumstances and the band are currently cancelling all live dates. They were pretty much the first band we booked and we hope they can come back to Wakefield sometime soon.
Upon that news reaching us, a wave of other bands then got in touch to say they couldn't play either. We would like to make it clear that this was not the fault of Long Divison and its organisers but was the decision of the bands themselves, for a range of reasons. Still, we offer our apologies for the changes. The schedules have been updated on the venues page, so please note any changes on there. But, in brief, they are:
No longer playing: Zoey Van Goey, Let's Wrestle, The Hounds Below, The Grand.
Bands now in: PAWS. Fairewell, Rosie Doonan, Redwire, Johnny The Firth.
Blacklisters are now unable to play the Saturday. They will instead will playing a free gig at The Hop on Sunday 3rd, as part of the Fringe Festival.
08/04/2012 - Times and Venues Confirmed
We are very pleased to finally announce the nine venues that will be involved with Long Division for the big Saturday event. It's really rather special that we have managed to expand from last years six, yet have managed to keep all venues within a five minute walking distance of one another – in some cases, around thirty seconds!
If you head to the venue section of the site you will be able to see the running times for the bands at each individual venue and begin planning your day. A full timetable will arrive later.
02/04/2012 - Full Line-up Announced
It is with great pleasure that we announce the full assortment of 75 bands that will play on June 2nd as part of Long Division. 75 bands, across nine stages, over twelve hours. All for £15. That's bloody good. And with the likes of The Vaselines, Art Brut, Aidan Moffat & Bill Wells, Herman Dune and The Twilight Sad, it must surely rank as the best value festival in the country!
The full announcement was made by our friends over at The Line Of Best Fit. Take a look

Thank you to everyone who has had faith in us and purchased an early bird ticket. They have now sold out! The absolute bargain price of £13 has been replaced by a still marvellous £15, so don't be disheartened. Though do remember, Long Division sold out on the day in 2011...
